Even with her mighty engines in reverse, the ocean liner was pulled further and further into the canal. Crew members Melanie, Adilain, and Amelia were in the boiler room trying to find out what was wrong. Captain Ann was yelling orders and trying to stop the boat. Nothing was working. Buildings were crumbling and crashing into the ship. All of the passengers were jumping out of the boat screaming and yelling. You might wonder who I am. I’m a girl named Sicilia who was a passenger on this ship. I was traveling with my parents to America from our home in Italy. My parents jumped out of the boat and I almost never saw them again. Then Captain Madison knew what was wrong.
“Annie,” she said and went into a daze. “That explains the telegram,” she said.
Captain Annie was a captain and an astronaut.
She sent another telegram saying: “Madison, I am in outer space with our sister Annabeth. She is my servant. I have put a satellite up here and it made the invisible portal that you are being sucked into. The feud between us has been going on for too long. It is my turn to be the winner. There is no way you can stop me.”
Captain Madison found me. I was the only passenger left on the ship. She said she wouldn’t let the ship go into the portal. Meanwhile Captain Annie, Annabeth, Isabella, and Ellen (two of her crew members) were on their second orbit, and Anna was plotting how she could save her sister from the portal that lead into broken down future Venice. This was her chance to escape because they were about to go by Venice. Then, she immediately floated across Isabella and Ellen, attached her tether, opened the shuttle door, and dismantled the satellite. Everything in Venice went in reverse before they went into the canal. Everything was back to normal. Captain Annie, Isabella, and Ellen realized that they could never beat Madison.
Annie, Isabella, and Ellen were sent into broken down Venice and Annabeth landed safely. I was back with my parents, and Captain Madison was back in the ocean. Annabeth told people in America and Annabeth one the Noble Peace Prize. She was a hero and she always wanted to be one. Madison was known as the best captain ever. They both had statues made for them. Annie was never spoken of again. Annabeth and Madison were always talked about.
I always remembered that day and I always will. It was the most extraordinary day ever. It was the most talked about story in all of Venice. I’ve lived on thankful to still have my parents. Sometimes I wonder what happened to the satellite. I guess I’ll never know.

Tamara- I really liked your story. I think your female heros were very brave!
